Sounds like a very good idea, you should get an extra 'hardcore-only slot' for this character. No heroes , no hench just real people so that people play with each other again instead of rejecting everybody and take h/h.
But dead forever? Don't like that, maybe the character slot should be 'locked' for like 2+ weeks ?

Anyway I really like the idea of a mode like this.

My idea is too have a thing in-game too have a thing that lets you to talk to people in your team without having to use Teamspeak, Xfire or Ventrilo it would save alot of effort and it would be controlled to be only people iin your team

umm wtf would it be some kinda of magical audio device that magically lets you talk to people in your team?
your idea is impossible to implement the best thing for Anet to do is to make official voice/video chat.

FPS and other MMOs have implemented this kind of audio, the programming is out there and I'm sure it could be done.

Default Genderless Sylvari

I have a suggestion that would separate the Sylvari from generic fantasy elves. According to the lore, they all drop fully-formed from a huge magical tree. So what possible use do they have for gender?

By making the Sylvari androgynous, the door is opened to making them more plant-like and alien, similar to the Avatar of Melandru. In other words, awesome.

Sure you'll alienate the fanboys who were hoping to slaver over leafy cleavage, and yes the Pretty Pretty Elf Prince/ss roleplayers will whine and cry, but both groups will be content with humans if the human character creation options are sufficiently diverse and beautiful.

Text options.

Text in quest log, and all other logs, the window background color, alpha scale .. . , the font style and size relative to the resolution the game is being played. . .

This would improve the appearance of Guild Wars dramatically. Even how the fonts are displayed over the heads of characters, monsters, npcs. Course some standardization would be necessary in PvP.

just saying anet has become way to dependent on fansites.
you guys should at least have your own boards, and there are so many site features on guru and gwvault that should all be official
for instances all the calculators and a million other things that should be officially made by anet.
i hope this happens for the new gw2 site.

Ability to change your character name once every month for a fee.

I agree.

They should also make naming more strict. No numbers, no in word caps, 2 names max (first and second), must contrain more than 5 letters through the entire name and no exessive use of double letters (eg. ee, jj, oo).

I hate seeing people going around named, Robot123! It just ruins the feel of the game.

Arrow My thoughts on Guild Wars 2

I for one would like to see more allowed when it comes to names. Saying that the criteria for names needs to be more strict because you can't stand the names other people come up with is being intolerant and overly opinionated. Everybody has a right to an opinion and a name. Asking for more restrictions on names just so it suits your style is a good way to trample on other peoples creativity. That said, I'll move on to my opinions for making Guild Wars 2(GW2) a better game for all of us.

Character Creation

This is where it all starts! I believe GW2 should feature more customization for characters at outset than Guild Wars(GW1). Options allowing one to choose eye shape, eye color, eyebrows, nose, lips, ears, facial hair and hair length would lessen the amount of clones running around and get people more into their character and the game.
The second part of creating a character is the name. Like I stated before, I believe names should be less restrictive than they are in GW1. Particularly the inability to create a character with just one name, as in you cannot create "Uziel" but instead are forced to come up with a last name for your character or resort to the name "U Z I E L".

Guild Wars 1 to Guild Wars 2

Concerning the connection between your GW1 character and GW2 character, the current system sounds good, but until details are confirmed it leaves me both worried and excited. Basically, there needs to be assurance that ones titles, weapons, armor, miscellaneous items and time spent are not wasted. I'm not asking for my GW2 character to start out with all my stuff from GW1, I'm just asking for solid recognition of all the accomplishments and assorted belongings of my GW1 character.

The Level Cap

Looking at the 3 main ideas for this, which are: Keep it at level 20, move it up to 100 and remove the cap altogether, I would have to favor having no level cap. It is very true that GW1 loses a goal once a player reaches the level cap. You no longer have the joy of gaining more health and power as you level. You are forced to shift your focus elsewhere in a desperation to find a goal. Grinding for coveted items and titles is the only alternative to leveling. With no level cap in place, the joy of gaining and growing more powerful remains. Of course the issue of balance remains, so to fulfill this the power must reach a plateau, slowly dwindle and then cease entirely. After you cease gaining real power in the form of more health, attribute points and the like, you gain access to high level items and titles, purely for bragging rights.

Characters and their Weapons

I know it has already been mentioned, but I want to reinforce that people should be able to choose any body type and build for their characters. Warriors should not be limited to being hulks and Assassins should not be contained to lithe and thin body types.
As for the weapons used by characters, more choices would be great. Heavy two-handed axes, swords and hammers as well as lighter, dual-wield hammers, swords and axes. Allow anyone and everyone to wield the weapons and armor they wish to, with the knowledge that each type of weapon and armor has its own weaknessess and strengths.

More to come...

The ones that do get though..well....we will think of that when the time comes.

Some ideas of mine for GW2:

1. Persistent Guild Halls/Fully Customizable and attackable

- Alright, let's say you're chilling in town on GW2 and someone in your guild chatbox screams "HOLY CRAP! EVERYBODY GET HERE NOW! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!"

Is it NPCs? Another guild? Monsters? Raiders hoping to steal supplies and booty from your guild vaults? That's the surprise!

So you warp to your Guild Hall and you are met with the sight of a few of your Guild Hall's towers getting blown to bits by a catapult. Looks like one of your rival player guilds brought along a siege weapon. Sucks to be them when they find out you've customized your Guild Hall with siege weapons as well for defensive measures!

So you took out their catapult using your own siege weaponry.

What's this? Four Norn Warriors begin slamming the gates of your Guild Hall with a battering ram!

Ok, before I get carried away, I'll summarize this up very nicely: Actual Guild WARFARE.

You have a fully customizable Guild Hall in this persistent world, and so it exists where other players, monsters, and NPCs can attack it, but ONLY when there are a certain number of your guild mates online. You don't want to be fighting 500 other guild members with only yourself and maybe two other guild-mates.

So let's say that there had to be 50 players online, but you can only match that number with your offense. Let's say the two guild masters even strike a deal to provide more incentive for combat.

If you win, you get this. If you lose, you lose this, so on so forth. Once the guild masters agree to the terms, the traded items/gold/etc. are taken from their inventories until the end of the battle so to guarantee that there will be no cheating.

After the terms are reached, and to decrease lag, the battlefield including the guild hall and surrounding environment could be instanced.

So it's 50 versus 50. Complete and utter chaos. Siege weaponry, destructible environments, and bragging rights.

Sounds like a good bit of fun to me!

2. City Monster Raids

I'd love to see some widespread warfare in regards to monsters. Let's say we're all chilling out in a big city, yah know? Getting parties together for quests and the like, and suddenly the Gate Guards begin yelling "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! SOUND THE ALARM"

So you're thinking "lol, this is just like WoW. Prolly some noob wandered too close."

That's what you're thinking until you watch in horror as wave after wave of Undead minions begin pouring into the city!

It's time to take action to defend your home!

I just think massive warfare such as this is very entertaining, and provides a big incentive for the community to band together for the common good.

I would like to see something like Runescape. Not exactly like it but I do get bored with Guild Wars at times and would like to do something besides fighting, like fishing, or woodcutting, or hunting ya know? Because fighting all the time really does get boring.
